This photo was taken during a cross country shoot I did for a JC Penney Holiday Giving Tour many years ago. We travelled across the country shooting events every other day. Our video turnaround was 24 hours from event to delivery, sometimes tweaking cuts on our flights to the next market. You cannot see it in this photo, but I had a cast on my leg as I broke my leg mid-tour. I completed the tour, of course, chasing people down for releases on crutches! …And it was one of the best experiences of my life.
When I was 16 years old, I interned on the set of the independent film L.I.E., working those long set day hours for the entire summer, and I loved every minute of it. That's when I knew that this is where I wanted to be, to be here helping creative, intelligent people bring their ideas to life, jumping through fun hurdles and hoops along the way.
Since that summer in 2001, I have explored and gained experience in all facets of video production, from development to production to post, from independent film to network television to features to advertising. Seeing so many angles of this crazy beautiful industry has given me a wide perspective that has only added to my love for what I do.
